College GameDay Visits Montana

On Saturday, November 20, 2022, the venerable College Gameday crew began their first ever homage to the Brawl of the Wild annual match up between the University of Montana Grizzlies and the State of Montana Bobcats. And Lee Corso was back!

Woo hoo!! From College Gameday’s Instagram.

We knew it would be cold. Winter, in the form of snow and cold temperatures, came earlier than expected this year. Expected temps in Bozeman were in the negatives.

The temperature on the drive to Bozeman.

We were bundled head to toe – multiple pairs of long johns, socks, three shirts, toe and hand warmers, and snowpants.

Bundled up for subfreezing temps.

Being a die-hard College Gameday fan, the minute I heard of the upcoming event, I started planning my sign. The interesting and random signs are my favorite. As a die-hard Kansas State fan, I wanted to represent both my team and my (Big 12) conference.

Will Howard is Kansas State University’s quarterback.

It was glorious. Cold, but my first behind-the-scenes look at one of my favorite shows!

The standard traveling flags- Washington, Clemson…
R2L- Des, Pat, Lee, Kirk, and David. The backs of their heads!
Kirk Herbstreet and Lee Corso. ❤️
Here’s where Bear sits! Down below and almost behind the rest of the guys.

We stuck it out, all three hours, with coldness building, but dedication to the cause!

We had recorded the show (of course) and were able to find the sign!
Look closer….

My first, and absolutely not my last, College Gameday ranks as one of the best days ever! Go Cats!!

I live in somewhat rural Montana, north of Yellowstone National Park. I love to tell "tales", I end up on many "trails", and am fascinated by "transformations", which happen around me and in me, which is the best part!
